Trumbull Congregational Church UCC has called Pastor Tim Hare to be its 41st permanent Minister. His first sermon will be delivered on June 22 at 10 am. “I’m looking forward to serving as TCC’s pastor and engaging with the greater Trumbull community in ways that build hope and strengthen faith,” says Hare.

A 1998 graduate of Yale Divinity School with a M.Div., Hare has been in pastoral ministry for 16 years at three congregations. For the past 10 years, he has been pastor at Huntington United Methodist Church, where through his vibrant leadership he was able to attract many young families and more than 150 new members, among other notable accomplishments.

Church Moderator Lesley Kitchener says, “We are so pleased to have Tim join us to lead and grow our congregation with his intelligence, thoughtfulness, energy and enthusiasm.”

Hare is excited about bringing his talents to TCC. “I’m passionate about facilitating thoughtful worship, nurturing gifts for ministry, and encouraging spiritual growth that embraces the love of God in its many surprising and beautiful expressions,” he said.

Founded in 1730, Trumbull Congregation Church is one of Trumbull’s oldest and most treasured institutions. Kitchener says, “We are an active congregation that seeks to demonstrate love for God and our neighbors by serving each other, the community and the wider world through our worship services, a wide range of outreach programs, Christian education and an absolutely dynamic music ministry”.

Located at 3115 Reservoir Ave., on the corner of White Plains Road, TCC holds Sunday worship at 10 a.m., where all are welcome. Information regarding the church can be obtained by calling 203 268-2433.
