Special Announcement from the Music Ministry:

Don’t miss worship next Sunday, October 25th, as we will be joined by a special guest musician, classical guitarist Levon Ofgang, who will share his talents with us and help deepen our worship experience. He will be providing us with gathering meditation music from 9:50-10am (so come early!) and also with special music offerings during the service.

Here is a little information about Levon: Levon Ofgang is a founding member of the Celtic Roots group MacTalla Mor. With the band he has toured nationally and internationally, playing guitar and Great Highland Bagpipes in performances that have included appearances at ESPN Studios, Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas, Pete Seeger’s Clearwater Festival, to name a few. Along the way he has shared the stage with all-time greats such as Richie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, and Levon Helm (from The Band). He currently studies classical guitar at WCSU and continues his study of other styles such as jazz, rock and folk as well. He has served as interim music director at St. Mary’s in Stamford and as accompanist at Blessed Sacrament in Waterbury. In addition to his academic and performance pursuits, he works as an adjunct guitar instructor at The Kent School, The Marvelwood School, and has his own private teaching studio in Fairfield County. When not touring with MacTalla Mor, he can be seen most Friday and Saturday nights “strumming his six string” at Aranci 67, in Redding.
