The following are experiences or places to go that TCC parishioners have identified as beautiful:

Colorblends Spring Garden, 893 Clinton Ave., Bridgeport, CT

The Colorblends Spring Garden is a beautiful spot unexpectedly located in Bridgeport’s historic Stratfield neighborhood. A Dutch flower bulb importer, Schipper & Company, uses this garden annually to showcase its tulips, crocuses, daffodils and other flowers to the public. Normally you would have access to the company’s restored mansion, which displays works by local artists and sculptors, but it won’t be open this year due to the COVID-19 crisis. The garden opens on April 1 from dawn to dusk, but please respect social distancing rules. There are over 15,000 bulbs in the garden and you might also see the garden’s resident woodchuck, who lives in the “takkerij” (the dead branches piled along the back fence)! — Maria & Rob Schaab

Storm King Art Center – New Windsor, NY

The Storm King Art Center may be mere 73 miles from Trumbull, but visiting there feels almost like traveling to a different planet — one in which you’re literally enveloped by beauty. Set amid the magnificent landscape of New York’s Hudson River Valley, the 500-acre outdoor museum features more than 100 modern sculptures and site-specific earthworks — many of them gargantuan in size and scope — by a wide range of contemporary artists. In the context of the surrounding scenery, one can’t help but be inspired to reflect on the Center’s defined vision, which seeks to “nurture a vibrant bond between art, nature, and people, creating a place where discovery is limitless.” – Chip Warren
